What are the challenges of the network marketing business? Right now, I’ll share with you some of the challenges that network marketers face in their business and why you need to be able to overcome these challenges in order to have even the slightest chance of success.
1. Fraud Companies
A lot of network marketing companies will claim that they are legitimate and some of their products and services seem to be really good ideas as well as profitable. However, you have to be extra careful because scam companies that give network marketing a bad name are really con artists – and they excel at what they do. Find out as much as you can where the top people come from, whether the company actually have a physical product. If they don’t and they’re just selling a way to make money, beware, it could very well be a pyramid scheme. If they have products, don’t be coerced to purchase a lot of products because they say that you have to be familiar with the product. If needed, purchase something so you can know what the product is. You don’t need to spend thousands of dollars to know about a product.
2. Fear
Most people fail at network marketing because they cannot overcome their fear. The fears that are evident in network marketing are: fear of failure, fear of talking to someone new, fear of losing relationships, fear of being rejected, fear of trying something for the first time, just to name a few. It’s only natural to have a certain level of fear but learning how to deal with the fear is very critical. The fear, albeit legitimate, can be overcome. It takes training and guidance to overcome such problems.
3. Failed Cloning
Successful network marketing involves duplication to a certain extent. Some people are really good at getting people to join them but they’re not good at having their DNA and their belief system imprinted onto the people who are joining them. If that’s not done right, there’s basically no duplication. Even if that person has a hundred downlines working in his team and he didn’t train the downlines right, in the end, he’ll just be working alone and by himself with no one working together with him. The scariest thing is that sometimes, after several months into the business, that person then realises what he has done wrong and he has already wasted valuable time and resources if he has to start over building a team again.

Network Marketing – Discover the Three Main Challenges in Network Marketing
December 26th, 2009Network Marketing and Goal Setting – Why Do We Even Try?
November 25th, 2009
Every year, on the first day of January millions of people blatantly lie to themselves and to their families. One good thing about all of these lies (normally called goals and new year resolutions) is that at least the health clubs and weight loss centers make a booming trade for a while until these people drop out and then the mental health folks start making money because they now feel bad about themselves because they didn’t keep to their commitment to exercise or lose weight.
You may be thinking, yes, so what?
Well, this yearly process is not much different to goal setting in Network marketing. Everyone who gets involved in Network Marketing is all hyped up immediately after signing up. They will conquer the world and make it submit to them. Hopefully they at least do the training their company provides and they have a sponsor who is concerned about them to help them set goals and get going building their business.
Then, finally after not sponsoring anyone for a month or three months they realize something incredibly profound.
“I have to go and tell people about my business and show them the information!”
Goal setting for these people was an absolute waste of time. They came into the business unprepared for what is required from them. Their sponsor probably didn’t tell them straight up because he knew they would not sign up if they realized they were expected to actually work. Why is it that the vast majority of people who sign up for a Network Marketing opportunity think they will be successful without doing anything?
Here are some steps to have a successful goal setting process with your associates:
Step 1: Help them think of a realistic goal they can achieve within 3 months of joining the organization. They must then physically write it down.
Step 2: They must think of a consequence that they will have if they do not achieve their goal. This must be something their spouse can enforce. For example: “If I do not achieve my goal in step 1 I will do the dishes every day for 3 months or until I achieve my goal.” The idea here is that the consequence must really suck but it must be enforceable.
Step 3: Tell your spouse and your accountability partner of your goal and your consequence. They will hold you accountable and monitor, especially if they would exact some perverse satisfaction of ensuring you comply with the stated consequence. People can be horrible that way!
Always remember this; Goal setting is easy and anyone can do it. Very few people monitor and achieve their goals. Be the leader your organization needs and just do it.

Network Marketing Scam – How To Tell If It Is A Scam
November 13th, 2009
There are a lot of people who automatically think that network marketing is a scam. This is not true. There are companies out there that are legitimate network marketing companies that are not scams. However, there are also ones that are a network marketing scam. This is why you need to be careful about what you sign up with on the internet. Here are some things that you can look for to find out if it is a network marketing scam or not.
One: You need to look at the compensation plan. Each company will have their own compensation plan. You want to make sure that you understand the plan before you start out with any network marketing company. The ones that you want to do business with are the ones that only offer money to the people who are going to put in the effort to grow their business. When you are willing to do the work then you are the one that should get paid not the people who don’t make any effort at all. When you find a company that says you can get rich quick without having to do anything, you will definitely know that it is a scam.
Two: What is the product or service like? Is it a good product or just something that was thrown together so that it looked like there was a good product? You need to be able to feel good about the product or service that you will be involved with. This is very important because when the product or service isn’t good, you will never make any money because people want good things not worthless ones.
Three: You want to find out what other people are saying about the network marketing company. When you go into forums you will find people talking about the network marketing scam that they found. This will give you a good idea of what to join and what to stay away from.
Do some research on the network marketing company to find out all you can about it. You can even go so far as checking with the Better Business Bureau. The more information you can find out about the more you will know whether it is a network marketing scam. Network marketing will not last long for any company if it is a scam.
You want to be careful and choose carefully before you do any network marketing. You will always be able to find information that will tell you if it is a network marketing scam. The more you know the better your choice will be.
