There is not one network-marketing distributor who wants or expects to wake up and realize he/she has spent $20,000 this year in advertising and product to build his network-marketing business with nothing to show for it.<br/><br/>Every year people spend thousands on advertising and product without realizing an acceptable profit. Ninety-five percent of MLM distributors fail in their new business within the first year.. Does this have to happen? No. Do you get into the car without a route in mind when you are headed to the grocery store? Are you just going to drive aimlessly, or do you make sure you know where the store you need is located? Does your road map have directions or are you riding with your husband /boyfriend? Men don&#8217;t generally want to stop and ask directions (all women know this).<br/><br/><strong>Setting Network Marketing Opportunity Goals:</strong><br/><br/>Set short-term network marketing opportunity goals, which can be 3 months to 1 year. Long-term network marketing opportunity goals are normally 2 to 10 years. One good thing about all of these lies (normally called goals and new year resolutions) is that at least the health clubs and weight loss centers make a booming trade for a while until these people drop out and then the mental health folks start making money because they now feel bad about themselves because they didn&#8217;t keep to their commitment to exercise or lose weight.<br/><br/>You may be thinking, yes, so what?<br/><br/>Well, this yearly process is not much different to goal setting in Network marketing. Everyone who gets involved in Network Marketing is all hyped up immediately after signing up. They will conquer the world and make it submit to them. Hopefully they at least do the training their company provides and they have a sponsor who is concerned about them to help them set goals and get going building their business.<br/><br/>Then, finally after not sponsoring anyone for a month or three months they realize something incredibly profound.<br/><br/>&#8220;I have to go and tell people about my business and show them the information!&#8221;<br/><br/>Goal setting for these people was an absolute waste of time. They came into the business unprepared for what is required from them. Their sponsor probably didn&#8217;t tell them straight up because he knew they would not sign up if they realized they were expected to actually work. Why is it that the vast majority of people who sign up for a Network Marketing opportunity think they will be successful without doing anything?<br/><br/>Here are some steps to have a successful goal setting process with your associates:<br/><br/>Step 1: Help them think of a realistic goal they can achieve within 3 months of joining the organization. They must then physically write it down.<br/><br/>Step 2: They must think of a consequence that they will have if they do not achieve their goal. This must be something their spouse can enforce. For example: &#8220;If I do not achieve my goal in step 1 I will do the dishes every day for 3 months or until I achieve my goal.&#8221; The idea here is that the consequence must really suck but it must be enforceable.<br/><br/>Step 3: Tell your spouse and your accountability partner of your goal and your consequence. They will hold you accountable and monitor, especially if they would exact some perverse satisfaction of ensuring you comply with the stated consequence. People can be horrible that way!<br/><br/>Always remember this; Goal setting is easy and anyone can do it. Very few people monitor and achieve their goals. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><br/><br/><STRONG>Do you want to know what the top network marketing company and the best mlm business opportunity is?</STRONG><br/><br/>Well, the truth is that there is no one best or top network marketing company for everyone!<br/><br/>Now, there are some companies that may be at the top position in the industry as far as sales, or growth, or number of distributors recruited; but that has absolutely NOTHING to do with your individual success in network marketing.<br/><br/>That may go against the grain of what you are usually led to believe, but it&#8217;s the honest truth.<br/><br/>Do you want to know why you are told those things about how great a particular company or product is?<br/><br/>For the most part, it&#8217;s simply a way to get you excited so you will sign up making your decision based on emotion, before you have a chance to look at everything from a logical perspective.<br/><br/>If you were to look at the situation logically, you should see that it doesn&#8217;t matter how great a network marketing company is, their company history, their compensation plan, etc. The reason is, that the ONLY person that is going to actually build your business is YOU!<br/><br/>Being in the industry a while, I have run across the &#8216;mlm junkie&#8217; many times.<br/><br/>This is a person who joins a network marketing company for a little while with little success, then gets pitched on the next great network marketing opportunity and jumps ship because he thinks the grass is greener on the other side. The trademark is that these people do this over and over again and then they wonder why nothing is working for them.<br/><br/>They are looking for a particular company, product, or opportunity to create success for them. It doesn&#8217;t happen. YOU must create that success.<br/><br/><STRONG>The important thing to remember is that the grass is never really greener on the other side:</STRONG><br/><br/>It still has to be mowed! The REAL difference is what kind of mower you are using and HOW you are operating that mower that is the true key to success.<br/><br/>Let me rephrase that: Success in network marketing and mlm is NOT based upon how great a company is or if they are at the top position in the industry. It is based on HOW you personally build your business and WHAT vehicles you use to get the job done. It&#8217;s your EFFECTIVENESS and your skill level.<br/><br/>If you know how to market your business effectively, then you can succeed in a start up, bottom of the list company OR in a so-called top ranked network marketing company. A company ranking or position really doesn&#8217;t matter as much as they lead you to believe.<br/><br/>It&#8217;s JUST a company. YOU are the one that makes it successful! You don&#8217;t see people in the corporate world get all excited about the company they work for, do you? Why? Because they are mainly excited about THEIR paycheck and THEIR results. Companies come and go. It&#8217;s all about what you do and how you do it that will make you a successful network marketing independent business owner.<br/><br/>So, please don&#8217;t get so excited about the rankings, sales, or history of a network marketing company because the true thing that matters is what YOU bring to the table and how effective YOU are.
