Online Network Marketing – What is the Lighthouse Marketing System Affiliate Marketing Program?

December 28th, 2009

Starting an online business can be a daunting task especially if you feel you do not know anything about computers, HTML, website design, or search engine optimization. One kind of business that people start on the internet is called affiliate marketing.

What is affiliate marketing?

Affiliate marketing is where you sell another company’s products or services for a percentage of the pie. There are many companies on the internet that provide you the tools to become an affiliate marketer. The best part of this equation is that those same companies do not want any part of your money. They just want YOU to make room on your website for their advertising. They do not require you to stock any product or inventory whatsoever.

Some of the big guns that offer affiliate marketing programs are as follows:

Amazon PetSmart Office Depot Walmart

There are other affiliate programs that do not require you to have your own existing website but rather provide you one once you join the program. Some of the new smaller companies that offer affiliate marketing programs and give you your own website include the Lighthouse Marketing System (LMS). LMS is an affiliate program that gives you your own website to market over the internet. The product of LMS is an e-book that shows the customer how to get free leads for his network marketing business by utilizing the power of the internet.

The LMS affiliate program has revolutionized the network marketing industry. Your affiliate customer can use the techniques in this e-book so that he can generate his own leads for his multi-level marketing business strictly online. The benefit to you, the affiliate marketer, is that you have full resale rights to this e-book and collect the entire 100% of the proceeds. How many affiliate programs do that? LMS also operates as a two-tier program in which you sign up a distributor under you and you collect a percentage of that person’s monthly subscription.

You as the affiliate marketer can use this program to market the e-book to customers who are distributors of their own respective MLM company. In addition, the leads you generate on your own LMS website can be used to market your own MLM company.

Your own LMS affiliate website can be a stand alone business opportunity itself especially if you are a newbie to online marketing. It can also be an added weapon in your marketing arsenal to convert those leads you generated into members of your own downline in which ever MLM company you are a with.

Network Marketing Companies Seek Professionals From Unemployed Talent Pool

December 22nd, 2009

Network Marketing (NM) or Multi-Level-Marketing (MLM) has historically been a controversial subject since the early days of Amway.  In 1979 the Federal Trade Commission ruled that Amway was not an illegal pyramid but a legal and legitimate business. Since that infamous federal ruling, network marketing has grown from an esoteric business model to a highly efficient distribution system.

Today, Network Marketing is reported to be a $100 billion dollar industry, made up of FORTUNE 500 and New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) companies.  Traditional sales method companies such as Colgate-Palmolive and the Gillette Company have Network Marketing subsidiaries. Rexall Drug is now using the Network Marketing method of distribution.

But as many American workers face shrinking pay checks, dwindling 401k retirement plans, and threats of layoffs, many households and business professionals are finding that the Network Marketing industry can be a viable financial option and an opportunity to augment their primary income.

Mark Archer  a business blogger, and network marketing coach and trainer from San Diego is a notorious promoter and supporter of the network marketing industry.  He says “I’m fortunate to have seen both sides of business from both an entrepreneur in network marketing and as a business consultant in traditional business.  What I can say about the network marketing industry is that the business plan is the most efficient and most lucrative I’ve ever seen from both a distribution channel and an entrepreneurial opportunity.” He adds, “Just like there are good and bad companies out there in traditional business; there are both good and bad companies in the MLM industry.”

Archer, who markets 80% of his products and services online, is an independent distributor for a health and nutrition company. When searching for the best company, Archer says, “There are generally 5 things I look for before I join. The last company I was with failed this test so I was much more careful before I jumped in.  I had to be sure that this company was reliable, and stable with safe and consumable products.”

Network Marketing companies replace traditional advertising and marketing costs with sales commissions to independent representatives, paid after the product is sold.  Faith Popcorn, in her best-selling book, The Popcorn Report, explains additional societal trends driving the success of Network Marketing. Her book describes consumers as having a desire to cocoon and stay at home. Advertising Age magazine states that the recommendation from a friend is the most powerful form of advertising.

Network Marketing Companies generally have several levels of investment and usually require an initial investment between $500 to $1,500. The companies generally allow their members to work their own hours and offer incentives for those that want to build their business quickly.

Technological advances have also drastically affected the work forces of entire industries. In 1985, vinyl records supported a $24 billion a year industry. Today it is all but extinct.  One robot can replace twenty human workers and extinguishes the need for companies to pay exorbitant amounts in employee benefits.

Most experts advise that before joining any network company, you should check the credentials and track record of the the company. The company should also be registered by the DSA (Direct Sales Administration).

Network Marketing Information – Is the Ann Sieg Renegade Marketer System Any Good?

December 18th, 2009

We’ve all seen the network marketing information on the Internet, the powerful sales letters promising easy riches. People standing in front of brand new Porches and Ferrari’s with big snot-eating smiles on their faces saying if you just send us a few thousand dollars you can do it too!

Do you really believe it’s just that easy? Or does it seem like “something is rotten in the state of Denmark?”

In most cases something IS rotten. Would you like someone to just make it clear, before you make that huge life changing decision, what exactly you need to do to make your marketing and network strategy work for you and your budget? So you can get started the right way?

I think that the simplicity is really the true power of Ann Sieg’s Renegade Network Marketing System. Is it perfect? No. Is it really good. Yes, I have to admit it is a good and fair system to use. One of the nicest features of The Renegade Network Marketer, there is no hype, just good quality information and strategy to help you succeed.

But, for now, I will start my review with what I don’t like about the system, part 2 will deal with the benefits and there are a lot:

The 3 Cons:

1) You cannot add your opportunity to the back office url’s in order to promote yourself or your Network marketing program. The Renegade System takes away the “human variable” which takes away any “uniqueness” to you as an individual within the back office.

This is not all bad, because you also can’t screw anything up either. Depending how you refer your prospects to the Renegade System the branding aspect comes from your website content and offering good quality information and referring your prospects in an open-minded frame of mind.

2) You brand Ann Sieg, her business, and unless you join her opportunity you promote her Multi Level Marketing company. To be fair Sieg herself says you should be looking to brand yourself once you learn the advanced techniques she teaches inside her system.

Just like with any affiliate program, you are subsidizing someone else’s business by referring your customers and readers to someone else’s website. Ultimately I think this is fair, Sieg has certainly made a financial contribution to the success of her affiliates, having paid many thousands of dollars to keep an expert copywriter in the stable to keep the conversion rates for her Renegade System very high (for me it’s running right at about 7% opt in rate which is good).

Plus there’s a “no overwrite” status for any customer you bring to the system so once you’ve acquired a customer, they are yours for life.

3) I found that The 7 Lies of Network Marketing, while every point is true, didn’t quite capture the essence of how just badly it is really being done online. Around every corner, it seems, is just another schmuck peddling his “money making” opportunity with no real chance of helping you become successful doing the same.

I think Ann’s “soft” approach to the truth is probably better for your conversion rates, since most people not involved in network marketing would never join if they knew the truth from the very start.

You can judge for yourself.
